General

All rates are based on departure from Port Alberni, BC. Rates for other departure locations can be arranged.

Most trips are best suited to one – two persons for personalized service.

All rates are in Canadian Dollars, and are subject to change.

Rates for customized charters or non fishing tours can be arranged.

Alberni Inlet

Trips are approximately 4- 6 hours long. Best times are late August and September targeting Spring Salmon destined for the Somas River system. Early July is best for Sockeye Salmon in the China Creek area. For 2 persons the rate is $400.00.

Fishing in Other Locations and Other types of trips can be arranged. The Broken Group within the Pacific Rim National Park offers good kayaking adventures. Day trips and overnight camping at campgrounds within the park can be arranged easily.

Barclay Sound (Inside)

Trips are approximately 6 hours long and destinations include Pill Point, Swale Rock, Diplock Island and the immediate area near these locations. Fishing is good most of July, August and September targeting Spring Salmon, Coho Salmon and some types of Rockfish. Late August is the best month for Spring Salmon. For 2 persons the rate is $ 550.00. For destinations beyond Swale Rock refer to the next description.

Barclay Sound (Outside)

Trips are approximately 6 – 7 hours long. Destinations include Cape Beale, Kirby Point, Meares Bluff, Effingham Island and locations between Cape Beale and the Broken Group. Fishing is good most of July, August and September targeting Spring Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rockfish, and some Halibut. Fishing in this area is weather dependent, but fishing is good in July, August and September. August is the best month for Spring Salmon and July is the best month for Halibut and Coho Salmon. Whales are often seen in these waters. For 2 persons the rate is $ 750.00.

Offshore Waters

Trips are generally 8 – 10 hours long. Destinations include locations 5 – 10 miles off the coast from Cape Beale. Halibut, Spring Salmon, Coho, Sockeye Salmon, and Rockfish are all plentiful during all summer months. Weather conditions dictate the specific location. For 2 persons the rate is $ 1000.00. Whales are often seen in these waters.
